What is your COVID policy?
To ensure the safety of our staff and customers, we are currently operating by appointment only. All customers will be required to wear a mask upon entry, and we ask that you limit your shopping party to 2 or less due to the size of our studio.
What is your return policy?
In order to maintain the integrity of our product offering, all sales are final, and no refunds or exchanges. If you cancel your order you will forfeit all payments.
Are alterations included in the price of my gown?
Alterations are not included in the purchase price of the gown. Please be advised in most cases items will need alterations so they can fit perfectly on your big day.
Do you make prom gowns?
Yes! We make prom and special occasion gowns!
We recommend that as soon as you know the date of your prom you book an appointment in the mid-fall! Custom gowns take 8-12 weeks to complete and we only take on a limited number of prom gowns each year, and only 5 gowns per high school!
We will not duplicate gowns, colors, or styles to ensure that your custom gown is truly one of a kind for your special night!
How far in advance should I order my wedding gown?
We recommend you start looking for your wedding gown soon after you set your wedding date and venue! Most gowns will take between 4-6 months to arrive from the date you ordered, so give yourself as much time as possible to make sure your shopping experience is stress-free and you avoid any rush fees!
It’s great if you can start your dress shopping 9-12 months before your wedding date.
If you have less than 6 months until your wedding, there are still a lot of beautiful options we can have ready in time for your wedding.
Do you have options for my budget?
We have gown options from around $350 to $15,000. When you come in for your appointment, your bridal stylist will help you choose gowns in a price range you’re comfortable with!
Who should I bring to my appointment?
It all begins with an idea. We recommend bringing 1-3 familiy members/friends whose opinions you value most! Wedding dress shopping is so fun, but can become stressful when there are too many opinions to consider!
How long is my appointment?
Appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes!
Do you carry plus size gowns?
Yes! The gowns available at Gown and Garter range from bridal size 2-28! The sample gowns (the ones you try on in your appointment) will rarely be a perfect fit, but our stylists are experts at showing you how it will fit your shape once it is made in your proper size!
Will I need alterations?
Almost all gowns will need at least some alterations to ensure ideal fit and length. (including custom gowns) You will be so happy on your wedding day with a flawlessly fitting dress. The alterations needed will vary from bride to bride and gown to gown, but we have an expert seamstress with many years of experience to ensure your gown is perfect before you walk down the aisle!
